Wake@Friend

FAQ

  1. What is a "WakeList"?

WakeList is similar to a playlist in a music player. You friends add videos to your WakeList and you view them at the time of your alarm.

  2. How does Wake a Friend pick videos from my WakeList?

Wake a Friend picks the videos in the same order as they were sent to you. When your alarm rings, Wake a Friend picks the first video in line, or picks a video handpicked by the Wake a Friend team if your WakeList is empty.

  3. What happens when I "wake a friend"?

You will be asked to pick a friend and suggest a video for them. The video will be placed in your friend's WakeList. The next time their alarm expires Wake a Friend will play the first video in their WakeList.

  4. What happens when my internet connection drops?

Don't worry, Wake a Friend will play a backup alarm to make sure that you wake up! You can change the backup in the Settings.

  5. Will Wake a Friend wake me when the app is closed or the iPhone is locked?

No, Wake a Friend must be running in the foreground for the alarm to work.

  6. Is Wake a Friend available on Blackberry and Android phones too?

Currently Wake a Friend is available only for the iPhone. We hope to launch Wake a Friend for the Android and Blackberry soon.

  7. Can I invite friends that do not use Facebook?

Wake a Friend requires a Facebook account for both sending and receiving videos.

  8. How come I cannot find a specific YouTube video?

Not every video on YouTube is available for the iPhone, usually due to licensing by the copyright owners.

  9. I have another question, what should I do?
